On Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the foot of the Colli Borbonici® olive groves, a small end-of-summer celebration took place: our harvest. Wine isn't the heart of our work—you know that—but every year, when the grapes are ripe and the morning air smells of wet grass, we return to the vineyard with family, friends, and neighbors to gather together what the earth has given us. It's an event we cherish because, more than bottles, it creates bonds.
This year's bunches
The vintage greeted us with red and white grapes of great personality. Sangiovese and Barbera stood out among the rows, with compact berries and generous aromas, joined by a light, fragrant Malvasia , ready to offer a fragrant and cheerful sip. Bucket after bucket, hand in hand, the baskets were filled like a table: slowly, chatting, with the lightness of things done without haste.
Next to the olive groves
Here, the vineyard coexists with the olive groves that produce our oil: a familiar landscape that speaks the same language of patience and care. The silver leaves of the olive trees provide a backdrop to the rows; the gentle rustling is the same we hear in autumn during the olive harvest. And it's no coincidence that harvest and oil, though different, share the same spirit: bringing people together and transforming an ancient gesture into a shared good for the table.
Not our core business, but our history
Colli Borbonici® wasn't born as a winery. Yet the grape harvest is a ritual we don't want to lose. Because behind every product that brings conviviality to the table lies a story of hands, glances, and laughter. The bottles to come will be few, perhaps imperfect, but they will have the taste of authenticity : the taste born when working together, when children run between the rows, when a grandfather shows how to turn the bunch of grapes so as not to break the shoot, when a snack becomes a small banquet on the grass.
Memories of “poorer but happier” times
The grape harvest is a bridge to the past. It reminds us of times when we had less, but were closer together. The crates lined up, hands sticky with must, the sun slipping behind the hill: these are images that speak a simple language. It's not nostalgia: it's gratitude for a tradition that continues to teach us moderation, waiting, and sharing . In the vineyard, as among the olive trees, the rhythm is not set by the clock but by the season. And in that harmony, we rediscover a little piece of ourselves.
A toast that sets the table
The beauty of the harvest is that it doesn't end in the vineyard: it continues when you sit down to eat. We can already imagine Sangiovese interpreting Sunday dishes, Barbera accompanying a barbecue with friends, Malvasia opening an appetizer with a fresh, fragrant sip. These are wines that aren't meant to dazzle, but to accompany . Like our olive oil, which doesn't seek to create a show, but rather to subtly illuminate flavors.
Community, first and foremost
If there's one word that sums up the 2025 harvest, it's aggregation . We did it to be together, to preserve a gesture that speaks of care and belonging. This is the spirit of Colli Borbonici®: creating products that bring people together , that spark conversations, that create a family even among those who aren't—yet.
See you at the next harvest
Now the grapes are resting and beginning their journey. Meanwhile, we're preparing for another season of work in the olive groves. We'll bring with us the same enthusiasm, the same patience, the same desire to reconnect—because oil and wine are close relatives in the great family of Mediterranean conviviality. And every harvest, whether of grapes or olives, is a way of reminding ourselves that the best things are born when shared.
